Official Circular : Download Here

New Delhi, 13th May: The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) would like to bring to the notice of all its affiliated State Units, Departmental Sports Boards, Technical Officials, Athletes, all the Road Races (Marathon, Half-marathon, 10km, 5km etc.) organisers, sponsors and running enthusiasts that AFI has not identified, recognised or permitted any organisation, race organiser or an individual to conduct COURSE MEASUREMENT WORKSHOP under its banner.

It is informed that AFI is the apex body recognised by International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), Asian Athletics Association (AAA), Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports- Government of India, for promotion, development, management and implementation of Rules & Regulations of IAAF for all athletics related activities in India.

It is noticed that some race organisers and individuals with vested commercial interests are conducting unauthorised Course Measurement Workshops by charging hefty fees from the participants.

For the benefit of public at large, especially those associated with the road races in India, the AFI strongly cautions not to fall victim or lured to such organisations/individuals who are conducting such courses for their commercial interests. The AFI considers all such workshops and course measurement workshops unauthorised and do not recognise any official trained by such organisation/individual.
